All I can do is listen to music

You may or may not have noticed, but we are currently on a lockdown and as such I am going slightly weird.

All my creative hobbies involve me working with people, being silly on stage, or rehearsing with lots of people, and as such I’ve got plenty of extra creative power and am desperate for any sort of artistic release.

So I’ve been listening to lots of music that I’ve collected and love from my life, from when I was a kid to up to now, and I’ve come to a conclusion: My music taste is tediously similar and I’m getting bored of it. There’s only so many times I can listen to Queen, Kaiser Chiefs and Slipknot.kca

Because of this, I’ve been asking people for albums that I need to listen to to broaden my music taste and experience something new. I will be listening to one new album a day a and giving a review of it and most importantly rating whether it will be added into my general music playlist.

This should be fun. We’ve got a lot of days left and it’s a lot of albums to listen to. Some will be awful (in my opinion), others will be absolute belters, and most will no doubt fall into the malaise of mediocrity alongside Coldplay and the majority of Alt-J (fight me).

So, day one tomorrow and it’s quite a good album to start off with…

Yeah, I write stuff occasionally, make things up on stage, and like saying words other people have written in a dramatic way.
